Review and discuss

  1. Write a claim that answers your assigned essay question. Make it an interpretation that a reader could reasonably challenge.
  2. Choose two pieces of evidence from your assigned reading or viewing notes. Identify the source and explain how each supports your claim.
  3. Identify a difference between the biography’s account and the musical’s interpretation. Explain why that difference matters for your argument.
  4. Read your draft aloud. Underline analysis and mark places that only summarize. Revise one summary sentence to explain why the evidence matters.
