TEACHER-BUILT · FREE TO EXPLORE

Try out my vibe-coded activity and assessment dashboard.

The interface I use to organize assessments, read student work, and give feedback—here with fictional students so you can explore it yourself.

Built with Codex in ChatGPT, shaped by my classroom experience. I describe what I need, work through the design with AI, and test and revise the result.

Demo mode. Fictional names, work, grades, and codes. Changes stay in your browser memory and clear on reset or reload. No classroom database connection.

WHY I BUILT IT

More time with students’ thinking.

I want to see students reason, apply what they have learned, and write in their own words. Bringing saved work, timing, rubrics, and feedback into one workspace helps me read that thinking more closely and respond to it.

I like the freedom to design around what works for me and my students. I can shape activities, prompts, tools, and routines to fit our learning goals and give students a place to develop original work. AI helped me build the platform; the ideas, reasoning, and writing still come from students.

This fits my “eyeballs over screens” approach: reading, instruction, and conversation build understanding first. The tool then helps students demonstrate what they know. AI helped me develop the tool; students still do their own thinking and writing.

How the assessment works

Students use teacher-issued codes for a randomized 25-question MC section and two sequential FRQs. The live tool saves writing about every five seconds while connected, supports extra time, and combines teacher-reviewed FRQ scores with MC results. Teachers review drafts, apply rubrics, provide feedback, and release reports.

The AP Government demo reuses the actual dashboard and student interface. Its data and save operations run in browser memory. The companion History views demonstrate the workflow with sample work. Share links and email actions are simulated; downloads and code print previews contain only demo records.

What monitoring tells me

The live assessment records browser signals when the test tab becomes hidden, the window loses focus, or the page is left or reloaded. Periodic check-ins support approximate session timing. It cannot read messages, identify another app, capture the screen, or detect a notification merely appearing.

A recorded departure can trigger a zero pending teacher review. A focus signal alone does not prove cheating or explain what caused it. In the demo, live focus monitoring is optional and visible; simulated alerts let you inspect the same review workflow.

How this demo protects student information

The public demo contains no student roster, real responses, grades, emails, access codes, or session records. It cannot contact the classroom assessment service. Your typed sample work and feedback stay in the demo until you reset or reload it. Ordinary website visit analytics are separate.

Use fictional names and addresses when trying the forms. Demo links do not grant access to a classroom or send email.
